Getting ready to color !

The process of getting your best colour starts even before you open your box. Here are a few things you need to know before you colour.

DOES HAIR LENGTH AFFECT THE AMOUNT OF COLOR?

  • Yes. If your hair is longer than shoulder length or very thick, you may need two boxes to fully saturate your hair. Also, keep in mind that the ends of long hair tend to absorb more colour, so the timing may be different for your ends. You may not need to apply colour to your hair every time you colour.

DOES HAIR TYPE MAKE A DIFFERENCE?

  • Hair type makes a difference in the timing of the colouring process. An important consideration is hair's texture—when the individual hairs are coarse (large in diameter) or fine (small in diameter). Coarse hair generally takes more time to absorb colour, so it requires a longer timing; fine hair generally takes less time to absorb colour so it requires a shorter timing. Hair that's dry or permed may absorb colour quickly too. Because several factors affect timing, we recommend a strand test—it's a good way to predict the colouring time.

SHOULD I GET A HAIR CUT  BEFORE I COLOR?

  • Cutting your hair before you colour will ensure you’re able to see the full effect of your colour. And, of course, your colour will enhance your cut.

WHEN SHOULD I RE-COLOR?

  • Demi-Permanent hair colour will last up to 28 shampoos—if you wash your hair every day, that's about 4 weeks. Permanent (lasts until your hair grows out or you recolour) hair colour should be refreshed when your roots start to show, about 4-6 weeks. As long as you follow the instructions for root application only, you should not have any problems with colour build-up.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

  • Unpack Henna pouch into a bowl and pour 40 ml water per 10 grams pouch in it to make a paste. Knead it well thus, breaking all lumps.

  • Apply the paste with a brush and thin-toothed comb on hair root to tip, parting hair too small bunches. Leave no hair untouched. Apply repeatedly to the borders of hair on the brow. Do not let the paste remain unused for long, as its efficiency reduces.

  • Let the hair absorb colour thoroughly till the applied paste becomes completely dry. For quicker results, Hair Dryer can be used. Then wash the hair with shampoo and water until the rinsing water becomes clear and entirely colourless. After drying hair with towel or dryer, set in the required style. Brilliant shine appears on hair.

  • Use the entire contents of the pouch for a single application and do not preserve balances.

SENSITIVITY TEST:

Para-Phenylene Diamine containing preparations may cause serious inflammation of the skin in some cases and so a preliminary test should always be carried out to determine whether or not special sensitivity exists. For carrying out the test, cleanse a small area of the skin behind the ear or on the inner side or the forearm, using either soap and water or alcohol. Apply a small quantity of the hair dye as prepared for use to the area and allow it to dry. After 24 hours, wash the area gently with soap and water. If no irritation or inflammation is apparent, it may be assumed that no hypersensitivity to the dye exists. The test should, however, be carried out before each and every application.

CAUTION: This preparation should NEVER be used for dyeing eyebrows or eyelashes as it may result in severe inflammation of the eye or even blindness.

Para-Phenylene Diamine contents after dilution is not more than 2%.
